Shipping Policy

At Small Pet Select, we're committed to getting fresh products to you as quickly as possible.

Warehouses: We ship from three strategic U.S. locations — Arizona, Kentucky, and Washington — to help ensure fast delivery.

Order Processing Time:

• Orders received before 7 PM EST: processed and shipped the same business day
• Orders received after 7 PM EST: processed and shipped the following business day

Weekend Orders:

• Saturday orders: Processed and shipped the next business day, except for KY & WA warehouse orders, which may process/ship during their half-day Saturday operations
• Sunday orders: Processed the next business day, except for KY & WA warehouse orders, which may process/ship during their half-day Sunday operations. Note: KY warehouse has 2 UPS pickups on Sunday. While packages are picked up and taken to the UPS facility on Sunday, they won't be scanned until the following business day.
• USPS orders only ship on business days. UPS orders may ship on weekends from KY & WA warehouses during half-day operations.

Delivery Estimates:

• UPS Ground (5 lbs. or more): Most orders arrive within 1-2 business days from shipment
• UPS SurePost (2–4 lbs.): Delivered by UPS, adds about 1 extra business day compared to UPS Ground
• USPS First Class Mail (13 oz or less) and USPS Priority (14 oz–2 lbs.): Delivery time varies by destination and may take several business days

Note: Weather, holidays, and high weekend sales may affect delivery times for all carriers.

Shipping Carriers by Order Weight:

• 13 oz or less: USPS First Class Mail
• 14 oz to 2 lbs.: Typically USPS Priority Mail
• 2 to 4 lbs.: UPS SurePost
• 5 lbs. or more: UPS Ground (fastest option on average)

Service Area & Address Requirements:

• We only ship within the continental U.S. 
• A physical street address is required — we cannot ship to PO Boxes
• Please check your shipping address before placing your order; we are not responsible for undelivered packages due to incorrect or incomplete addresses

Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & Other U.S. Territories: We do ship to these destinations, but shipping costs are typically much higher — especially for hay, pellets, and pet food. You may find it more cost-effective to order through our Amazon Store or use a freight forwarder. For a shipping quote, please contact Customer Success with your full shipping address and order details.

Free Shipping:

• Orders $24.5 or more (after discounts, before taxes): free shipping
• Orders under $24.5: flat shipping rate of $4

Expedited Shipping (UPS Next Day Air): 

• Available for an additional cost.
• NDA orders must be placed by phone before warehouse cut-off times.
• No NDA orders on Fridays.
